Well worth the wait!

Exceptional! Thank you! I have always appreciated Linda Godfrey's writing style and research...... she brings out those things that are hiding in plain sight! I love it when that happens :) She has a way of reminding us of the way things connect in life and to "relearn" to trust our own senses. These are stories from everyday people, every walk of life, like you and I.

Some of the "dogman" stories that she recounts, ring true. These stories note fear, intelligence, evil, and a sulfur smell and having visits around 3:00 a.m. or thereabouts. If you have read Deliver Us From Evil, Ralph Sarchie, he also notes fear, intelligence, evil and a sulfur smell. He also notes that demons (monsters) like to visit around 3:00 a.m. or thereabouts. He is a NYC Police Officer that was mentored/taught by Father Malachi Martin, a demonologist who wrote, Hostage to the Devil. Do I believe these stories? Yes, I sure do. I think some are cryptids (paw prints/physical evidence) and some may be demons (lack of physical evidence like paw prints). From what I have read, demons can take any shape. That being said, I would have to think about how the demons know of the wolfman/dogman's appearance .... how is it all connected? Hiding in plain sight? They all use the same Portal? Must be a busy road ...

Another point of, "hiding in plain sight", comes under her heading of "Deep Psi". She discusses a statement of Harvard professor, Edward O. Wilson, " What we intuitively believe to be the "real world" is what we SEE. But what we SEE is only an infinitesimal slice of the electromagnetic spectrum, comprising wavelengths of 400 to 700 billionths of a meter". He adds that many animals see a light spectrum far beyond our own range The same thing applies to sound, smell, taste and touch as well. As I was reading, I was thinking .... I know this ..... I know this ...... thanks for the reminder! My own experiences and my dogs and cats show me this all the time! It is very real and about as "common sense" as it gets.

This book is a terrific read! The Church Lady Monster (with multiple church witnesses) ABSOLUTELY ROCKED MY FOUNDATION of what I perceive as REAL! We are ALL connected, we may not always know how, but we are. Enjoy!

Otherworldy Havoc vs. Linda Godrey...a Great Read

This is a solid book on things that go bump in the night and how Linda bumps back. As a fellow investigator of odd phenomena, I greatly appreciate her field and literature research capabilities...especially how she translates them onto the written page. Also, Mrs. Godfrey is a gifted storyteller which keeps the book flowing at a good pace. She presents multiple theories on what may or may not of occurred for each case study she presents. When she does state her opinion, Linda lets the reader knows it is hers and that she may not be correct. This is a breath of fresh air compared to many other researchers/authors whom state their opinion as the only explanation possible. As a bonus, this book actually has cutting edge scientific theories included to try and explain some of what is going on. The author has done a nice job translating them into more reader/laymen friendly terms. Overall, another solid contribution to paranormal study from Linda.

Another excellent work by author/researcher Linda Godfrey. This time her research takes a higher strangeness than usual when the confronts the possibility of other dimensional portals, paranormal activity connected to Hairy bipedal encounters, morphing creatures. She identifies three camps within the so-called Cryptozoological world: one the flesh and bone camp, which clings to 'normal' flesh and bone creatures, hitherto undiscovered, Two: A certain group that allows for the possibility of a combination of all three factors and number 3 (which I am an entrenched member) is the Paranormal, other dimensional, etc camp. This book is a must read for ALL serious researchers from all camps. thank you Linda

it's working for me...

i'm absolutely remembering more, and feel sharper. the log in the back shows me that i'm remembering between 4 and 5 words more on the word test, and i'm getting faster at all the exercises. i'm almost a whiz at dinner calculating the tip. new ground for me!

i have another two weeks left in the book - and i'll probably buy another. overall - highly recommended.

I'm not quiet 1/2 way through the book yet; however, the exercises are very simple...almost childlike, but I've noticed that I am processing information faster and my retention appears to have improved. Sort of lends credence to that the simplest solutions are sometimes the best when attacking complicated problems.

Everything I have ever done has revolved around a core principle: if you're in the business of creating digital products, those products serve as your ambassadors. 
As such, user trust and customer loyalty depend wholly on the experience people have with those ambassadors. If the product is hard to use, people assume it's hard to do business with you. If the site sucks, you suck. If the system is slow and unresponsive, so are you. If the app is confusing and frustrating, they're frustrated with you too. 
Products are used by people, after all, so putting people and their experiences first is a pretty good place to start. At the same time, creation always entails cost: time, effort, money. And every creator is looking for a way to cover that cost, along with a little extra. In order to do that, you need to design and deliver superior product experiences -- consistently, repeatedly, over time. 
In order to do that, you need to uncover the sweet spots between what users expect from the product and what the business needs to accomplish in order to survive and prosper. 
These are strategic concerns, not tactical ones. In these scenarios the greatest tool any consultant, manager, designer or developer has is what's between his or her ears. 
The thinking part of design and UX is the most valuable part. That's what this book is about. That's what creates the value loop I talk about so often, where value goes out to users, and in doing so comes back to the business as well. There are no shortcuts to great experiences. There is only the discipline to investigate, the patience to analyze, the willingness to be wrong and a mind open enough (and brave enough) to admit it.

About the Author
Joe Natoli has been preaching and practicing the gospel of User and Customer Experience to Fortune 100, 500 and Government organizations for over 26 years. He ran his own Experience Design firm for for 10 years, selling it in 2007. Now, as the founder of Give Good UX, Joe offers coaching, training and product audit programs for enterprise product teams, in addition to speaking and writing.

Joe works with product design and development teams to uncover the sweet spots between what users want to make their lives easier and what businesses need to accomplish in order to survive and prosper. He believes UX is a value loop: value goes out to users, value comes back to the business in the form of ROI.

Joe has recently dedicated a significant portion of his practice to developing online training for designers and developers. The first of these, User Experience Design Fundamentals, launched via Udemy in 2013, now has over 30,000 students -- and that number grows daily. His second course, UX & Web Design Master Course, recently launched in direct partnership with Udemy.

Think First is a Phenomenal Resource for Any UX Designer!!!!!!

As someone fairly new to the world of user experience design, I found Joe's book to be extremely valuable. As a web and software developer, I am not only interested in trying to produce quality products, but also in trying to design products that deliver great user experiences. I want users of the applications I create to not only be able to get a particular task or end-goal accomplished in the most efficient way possible, but I also want them to actually enjoy using the application because of the way it's designed. Even if it's an application they only use at work!!

Joe provided the insights I was looking for and delivered them fantastically on every page of his book. The entire time I was reading Think First, I was consistently hooked on the ideas and examples he gave that always had me saying to myself, “Oh Yeah!, that makes total sense!!”

Think First is a GREAT book for someone brand new to the world of user experience design, but it's also GREAT for even seasoned UX Designers who are looking to amp up their game. The title is perfect because it drives home the overall goal EVERY person involved with ANY part of a product or service's development should have...and that is to Think First BEFORE you even move to planning, writing, budgeting, prototyping, coding, etc.!! How to think about strategy through a UX lens

UX is a complex field, and there are tons of books on the topic of UX. Think First stands above them; it’s a great book about how to think about what we do everyday. While UX designers and management may create strategies, developers, copywriters, and those who create content and systems must implement the strategy.

There will always be a lot of micro-decisions that need to be made by both management and the people doing the work, and Think First provides a solid guide for doing that. Every decision made impacts User Experience, so it’s really important for designers, developers and other team members to consider the reasons behind their actions.

This book is great for people who want to empower themselves to think strategically and serve both business goals and use needs. Think First empowers us to break the assumptions we make in what we do, and grow as a result. The insights gained from Think First will surprise you and your team!

The king could be understood as a positive reformer of the “pagan” ways of the country, or as a sinner, at least partly responsible for the threats and disasters that befell Judah, from Sennacherib’s invasion through the Babylonian exile more than a century later. By showing how the stories about Hezekiah developed over time through a process of response and counterresponse, forming at the end a dialogue of memory, Park elucidates the ways in which biblical stories in general function as loci of continual dialogue, dispute, and discussion.
