Geostatistics offers a variety of models, methods and techniques for the analysis, estimation and display of multivariate data distributed in space or time. This book presents a brief review of statistical concepts, a detailed introduction to linear geostatistics, and an account of three methods of multivariate analysis. Moreover, it contains an advanced presentation of linear models for mulitvariate spatial or temporal data, of nonlinear models and methods for selection problems with change of support, as well as an introduction to non-stationary geostatistics with special focus on the external drift method. Applications from very different areas of science as well as exercices with solutions are provided to help convey the general ideas.

Finally a readable book on the subject

Really. I do like the pace, the detail and the structure of this book. It may not be as technical as some might like but I thought the level of explanations was great for someone new to the techniques.

I loved the book as I found it rich of valuable information about all the important aspects of multivariable analysis both statistically and geostatistically.
I recommend Hans' book, my previous teacher, as all the theory has been either revised or invented by him and his colleagues.
