Best book I've bought yet about research methods

I'm a PhD candidate at an Australian university studying management, and have been studying at post graduate level for over 8 years. So I've read quite a few research methods books over the years. This book is the best of them all. Why? Because it's concise, very well structured and laid out, very well referenced with high quality citations, and an extremely easy read. It also covers topics that are not easily found or explained in other texts, e.g. content analysis. It reduces sometimes complex methods to a simple, easy to digest format. When reading it, I felt like the content mirrored that of a research methods course, which made it all the more worthwhile to buy, because I was getting a whole semester's coursework in one text. It is written by a cohort of top academics who consistently publish in international journals, so you know the quality is top notch and first class. This book is a must have in any post-graduate student's library.

Good resource

This text was assigned to me for a graduate level research methods class. Overall, it's a good resource that should prove to be a functional source for future research. The concepts discussed in this text can be applied to any subject, and the author writes concisely in a very matter-of-fact style - which resonated well with me. It's not a difficult book to comprehend by any means, but I wouldn't really consider it a primer in research methods. It's also not a "fun" read, but it covers what needs to be learned in the world of research, both quantitative and qualitative. Biggest take-away for me were the methods of maintaining and evaluating for validity and reliability in all types of research.
